Retail Fundraising Partners

Our Retail Fundraising Partners

At designated times throughout the year, we invite store guests — primarily at our Family Fare, Martin’s Super Markets and D&W Fresh Market stores — to join us in giving back through donations at checkout. This is done through a retail fundraising effort, where we invite the communities we serve to join us in supporting key initiatives in partnership with our national, regional or local 501(c)(3) nonprofit partners.

We partner with nonprofit organizations that have state and local chapters, making sure all funds raised remain in our neighborhoods. SpartanNash underwrites all operational expenses, ensuring that every dollar goes directly to the partner organization. In 2025, we raised and granted more than $1.96 million through five companywide fundraisers, benefiting The American Red Cross, Special Olympics, Junior Achievement and patriotic, disaster relief and food pantry partners.

“We are incredibly grateful to the SpartanNash Foundation and their two Metcalfe's Market locations in Madison, Wis., for their support of our work in Dane County. The in-store fundraiser hosted raised $45,500 for The River, which will help us continue to serve more than 3,500 food insecure individuals each week.”
