During this annual day of community service, team members in Grand Rapids, Mich., team up to pack nearly 15,000 meal boxes, all of which are donated to nonprofit partner Convoy of Hope. Each box contains enough food to feed a family of four for one week and is distributed to aid families following natural disasters. In total, our team’s efforts mean that more than 500,000 meals and 5,000 personal hygiene toiletry kits are now available when they are needed most.
At the heart of the United Way is a deep commitment to ensuring every child gets a strong start, nurturing healthy communities where everyone can thrive and building a foundation of financial stability for families in the places we call home. This shared purpose comes to life each year when dedicated teams across the country join together for our annual United Way Workplace Campaign to help raise funds for free or low-cost services that improve the lives of local community members.
