The remodel modernizes and improves the shopping experience for the Racine community — using feedback from shoppers throughout the upgrade
RACINE, Wis. — April 20, 2026 — Piggly Wiggly® has completed a major refresh of its store located at 4011 Durand Ave., bringing expanded fresh offerings and refreshed departments to one of its three Racine locations.
The remodel focuses on the areas of the store shoppers care about most — using feedback from store guests and team members throughout the upgrade — including expanded fresh departments, widened aisles, updated floors, signage and more. The produce, deli, meat and bakery departments also feature a carefully curated assortment specifically chosen to meet the needs and tastes of the local Racine community.

In addition to new fresh produce displays and expanded offerings in the deli and bakery, the store gives convenience a new look with an updated assortment of national brand and Piggly Wiggly brand products to make each shopping trip easier than ever.
Piggly Wiggly celebrated its biggest update in 15 years with a full-day celebration on Saturday, April 18, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, giveaways, product demonstrations, food and family-friendly fun for all.
“Piggly Wiggly’s roots in Racine run deep, and we’re excited to reinvest in our shoppers and our store in this way,” said Piggly Wiggly Sr. District Store Manager Ryan Evers. “Every part of this remodel was inspired by our store guests and making it easy for them to answer the question, ‘What’s for dinner?’”
The Durand Ave. store now offers an upgraded shopping experience with added convenience and selection — all while maintaining its role as a hometown gathering place.
