Living in Westfield is pretty cool, too. The town is centrally located in Western Massachusetts and provides easy access to points east and west via the Massachusetts Turnpike.

The town of Westfield is part of the Springfield metropolitan area, which means that residents can enjoy the suburban quiet of Westfield – or drive into the city for more choices in shopping, dining and entertainment. Springfield offers a wealth of attractions for all ages, including the Basketball Hall of Fame. (Basketball was invented in Springfield by James Naismith in 1891.) Springfield is also famous for its annual “Bright Nights” holiday festival featuring acres of lighted tableaus.

Family life in Westfield can be as quiet or as busy as you like. There are many nearby hiking, skiing and boating choices, as well as the Norwottuck bike trail for family fun rides. Six Flags of New England is just 35 minutes away, with thrill rides and a children’s park. And of course every season brings its own crop of local festivals, usually with great food, music and activities for the whole family. Westfield also offers a large, full-service YMCA and youth activities, including Boys' and Girls' Clubs and the Amelia Park hockey arena, open year round.
