Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization whose mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.

The United Way creates long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of significant local issues. Common focus areas include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving people’s health.

In our corporate headquarters community of Keene, N.H., we are proud to participate in the Loaned Employee program with our local United Way.

No child should go hungry in America, but one in six kids will face hunger this year. Using proven, practical solutions, No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger today by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. When we all work together, we can make sure kids get the healthy food they need. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength

First Book provides access to new books and educational resources for children in need. To date, First Book has distributed more than 130 million books to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada. By making new, high-quality books available on an ongoing basis, First Book is transforming the lives of children in need and elevating the quality of education.

Together with communities, FoodCorps serves to connect kids to healthy food in school. It recruits, trains and places AmeriCorps leaders into limited-resource schools for a year of public service where they teach hands-on lessons about food and nutrition; build and tend school gardens and teach cooking lessons; and help change what’s on lunch trays, giving kids healthy food from local farms. 

The Conservation Fund is dedicated to conserving land, protecting the environment and training leaders. To date, the fund has helped protect more than 7 million acres, sustaining wild havens, working lands and vibrant communities. 

The Congressional Hunger Center fights hunger by developing leaders! Its Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program is a social justice program that trains, inspires and sustains emerging leaders. It uniquely equips fellows with both field and policy experience, partnering with community-based organizations across the country and national anti-hunger organizations in Washington, D.C., to immerse fellows hands-on in a diversity of innovative approaches to eliminate hunger and poverty. 

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters, supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood, teaches skills that save lives, provides international humanitarian aid and supports military members and their families.

One Warm Coat provides free coats to anyone in need, without discrimination, and works to create awareness of the vital need for warm coats across the country. Through the Coat Drive Program, One Warm Coat provides tools and resources to empower volunteer-led and sponsored coat drives to collect coats, and partners with nonprofit agencies and schools across all 50 states to distribute those coats to children and adults in need. Since 1992, One Warm Coat has facilitated the collection and distribution of more than 6.6 million coats.

High 5 Adventure Learning Center is an educational nonprofit strengthening school communities through an innovative program called Edge of Leadership. In partnership with C&S Wholesale Grocers and the Keene, N.H. school district, students and teachers learn the critical skills needed to become stronger, more effective and empathetic citizens within their communities through unique and challenging experiences.
