
Rick Cohen, executive chairman
Rick Cohen is executive chairman of C&S Wholesale Grocers and is the third generation of the Cohen family to lead the Company. Rick grew up in the business, working for his father, Lester Cohen, during the summers until his graduation from college in 1974, when he came to work full time at C&S. Rick became CEO in 1989 and continues to lead the Company in the proud, innovative tradition of his father and grandfather.

Eric Winn, chief executive officer
Eric Winn, chief executive officer, is responsible for all aspects of the Company strategy, growth plan, customer satisfaction and day-to-day operations. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, including as C&S’s chief operating officer, responsible for all operations, transportation, customer development and expansion. Since joining C&S in 2004, Eric has held several leadership positions across the Company and has been responsible for driving C&S’s strategic growth and further expansion. Eric earned a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business.

Djouma Barry, executive vice president and chief retail officer
Djouma Barry, executive vice president and chief retail officer, is responsible for overseeing strategy and operations across the Company’s growing retail footprint. Djouma joined SpartanNash in November 2024. Most recently, he served as vice president, retail operations at Kroger, and held various retail leadership positions at Old Navy, Lululemon and Target, where he spent the majority of his career and progressively worked his way up from a store’s sales floor leader to overseeing 1,900 stores and $93 billion in sales across the U.S. Djouma earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University.

Bill Boyd, executive vice president and chief legal officer
Bill Boyd, executive vice president and chief legal officer, is responsible for in-house corporate, compliance and labor, and employment teams legal operations. Bill has extensive industry expertise having led legal teams at Imperial Dade, Athletes Performance and Polaroid Corporate, as well as being C&S’s chief legal officer for 10 years (2009-2019). Bill has a diverse educational background, with a J.D. from Duke University, M.B.A. from Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in both history and psychology from Williams College.

Elliot Brouse, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, C&S
Elliot Brouse, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, is responsible for the C&S warehouse operations across the Company. Elliot joined C&S in 2022 from Yum! Brands restaurants where he led Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions. He has broad leadership supply chain industry experience, including as vice president of operations at Martin Brower US and prior to that as the director of logistics in the United States Air Force. Elliot earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.

Andrew Connell, executive vice president and chief procurement officer
Andrew Connell, executive vice president and chief procurement officer, is responsible for service, inventory management, demand planning and inbound planning. Since joining C&S in 2006, Andrew has held multiple leadership positions throughout the organization in procurement, demand planning, facilities, automation and network optimization. Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Alona Florenz, executive vice president and chief commercial & corporate development officer
Alona Florenz, executive vice president and chief commercial & corporate development officer, is responsible for leading the commercial organization’s execution of a strong customer experience and business growth across the Company. She is also responsible for deal analytics, including mergers and acquisitions, new customer opportunities and the project management office. Since joining the Company in 2008, Alona has held various leadership positions within C&S. Alona earned a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Sudhakar Lingineni, executive vice president and chief information officer
Sudhakar Lingineni, executive vice president and chief information officer, is responsible for leading the direction and execution of the Company’s information technology and digital transformation strategies to deliver an exceptional customer and employee experience and improve overall operational process efficiencies. Since joining C&S in 2012, Sudhakar has held various leadership positions within the organization. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, information systems. Prior to C&S, he oversaw all business applications and processes at Sharp Electronics. Sudhakar earned a bachelor’s degree from the National Institute of Technology.

Amy McClellan, executive vice president and chief commercial officer
Amy McClellan, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, is responsible for driving sales growth in the wholesale segment, core merchandising operations in center store and fresh, as well as customer engagements, including national accounts, independent and chain grocers and the U.S. Defense Commissary Agency and military exchanges worldwide. Amy previously was named SpartanNash’s executive vice president and chief customer officer, and the responsibilities of her role expanded to create a commercial function. Prior to that, she served as the Company’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer and spent 20 years with Martin’s Super Markets in a variety of store operations roles and leadership positions in marketing, merchandising and operations. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree, as well as her M.B.A., from Indiana University.

Mark McGowan, executive vice president, retail and chief merchandising officer
Mark McGowan, executive vice president, retail and chief merchandising officer, is responsible for the retail and franchise business, as well as the Own Brands portfolio, which is an active part of the Company’s growth strategy. Mark has more than 30 years of experience in the grocery industry, with a long history of partnership with C&S in his leadership positions at Ahold Delhaize. Most recently, he was the president of Stop and Shop, where he led more than 65,000 employees across 416 stores. During a period of growth and transition in the marketplace, Mark was instrumental in leading integrations and acquisitions to meet customer needs and drive business growth. His leadership enabled year-over-year positive sales trends, while also increasing both customer and employee satisfaction scores.

Kevin McNamara, executive vice president and chief financial officer
Kevin McNamara, executive vice president and chief financial officer, is responsible for leading the financial strategy for the Company. Kevin joined C&S from Bacardi Limited, where he was chief financial officer. Prior to Bacardi, Kevin served as chief financial officer and administration officer for Centerplate, Inc. He also spent 18 years at The Gillette Company in increasing roles of responsibility, including vice president of finance of the Global Grooming Group and assistant corporate controller.

Miriam Ort, executive vice president and chief human resources officer
Miriam Ort, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, is responsible for leading the Company’s human resources and communications organizations. Miriam joined C&S from Avis Budget Group, where she served as senior vice president, human resources. Prior to Avis, Miriam spent nearly a decade in executive HR roles at PepsiCo, before which she was head of talent management for Avon Products, North America. An accomplished author and speaker, Miriam coauthored the bestselling book One Page Talent Management: Eliminating Complexity, Adding Value from Harvard Business Press. Miriam holds a master’s degree from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State College.

Dave Petko, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, SpartanNash
Dave Petko, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer for SpartanNash, is responsible for driving efficiencies and cost savings throughout supply chain and distribution operations, in addition to growing the Company’s network and strengthening relationships with suppliers. Dave has 25 years of supply chain and distribution logistics experience and a proven track record of transformational leadership. He joined SpartanNash in April 2021 and prior to that, he served an 11-year tenure with C&S in multiple supply chain leadership positions throughout the organization.
