Windsor Locks, Conn.

The city of Windsor Locks takes its name from a series of locks, which were built in the early 1880s on the nearby Connecticut River. The town is home to one of New England’s largest airports, Bradley Field, which includes the New England Air Museum. This area boasts many tobacco farms and beautiful scenery. Hiking, biking, skiing on Mount Tom, boating on the Connecticut River and ballooning are popular local activities.
