C&S and Family of Companies Raise the Bar On Their Giving to United Way

Keene, NH – The employees of C&S Wholesale Grocers and its family of companies recently completed another successful workplace giving campaign to raise funds and awareness for United Way.  The company and more than 4,000 employees combined to contribute over $1,190,000.  These investments will benefit 91 United Ways in creating long-term social change that produces healthy, well-educated and financially-stable individuals and families.

C&S is a partner in United Way’s Global Corporate Leadership Program, which leverages the commitment and caring power of over 100 national and global corporations with United Way’s ability to improve lives and create lasting changes in communities.

“Our employees across the enterprise continue to raise the bar in terms of generosity and commitment to the important work made possible through the United Way.  Their willingness to give has grown every year.  That’s especially wonderful since this year is the 125th anniversary of the United Way,” said Gina Goff, the Senior Director of Community Involvement at C&S.

Employees at four C&S food distribution centers will be recognized by the company for their campaigns:

Hatfield, Massachusetts                                    Champions Award for most dollars pledged

Suffield, Connecticut                             Excellence Award for highest participation rate

Chester & Newburgh, New York              Spirit Award for organization and enthusiasm
