Keene, N.H. - C&S Wholesale Grocers is proud to announce new investments in two national nonprofit organizations: Feeding America and Share Our Strength. The additional funds will help to address the growing problem of hunger in children. A USDA study released last month revealed that a staggering 1 in 4 children in the United States is living in a household that is food insecure. Keene, N.H. – November 24, 2009 – As an expression of caring for neighbors in need, and in response to difficult economic conditions, C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc. and its employees have donated 7172 turkeys to Feeding America member food banks. This represents a 32% increase in the number of turkeys donated last year and is enough to make approximately 220,000 wholesome, nutritious meals.Read more...

C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. continues its efforts to alleviate hunger in many of the communities where it has employees and facilities during the month of September, Hunger Action Month.
