Michael Newbold
Michael Newbold is Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel. He joined C&S in November 2005 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel and assumed responsibility for C&S’s legal function.
Since that time, Michael has become a valued member of the C&S Executive Committee and has worked on many of the Company’s largest customer relationships, mergers and acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. He also manages C&S’s Corporate Development function, which handles C&S’s chain customer transactions and mergers and acquisitions activity. Michael also continues to maintain oversight of the C&S legal department including general corporate, compliance, labor and employment and litigation management.
Michael previously served as the Chief Legal Officer of Wipro Technologies, a multibillion dollar offshore technology business focused on IT outsourcing, application development and business process outsourcing. He also spent more than three years as Vice President & General Counsel and member of the founding management team of NerveWire, a consulting and systems integration firm that ultimately was acquired by Wipro. Michael brings additional experience as a private practice attorney for two major Washington, D.C. law firms. He earned a B.A. in History from Yale University, cum laude, and graduated with honors from Duke University School of Law.
