College Recruiting
"I joined C&S in the summer of 2007 as an Operations Manager in Development. My experience with C&S has been an amazing and educational one. Although I have been with C&S for less than one year,
I've had the opportunity to directly affect our operations in a positive way. Overall, this has been an incredible career opportunity and learning experience."
Chris, Cornell `07, Operations Manager in Development.
"After joining C&S in the fall of 2002, I began my career working on a variety of operational projects. This was quite a change for an Anthropology major! From there, I transitioned to managing the Customer Service department and in my spare time, worked for the CFO.
Approximately one year later, I had the opportunity to transfer to Hawaii as the Procurement and Operations Manager. For the next 18 months, I lived and worked in paradise. Since then, I've worked on a start-up of a major warehouse and I am now running a project designed to take $1 million out of operating costs per week. And, it's only been five years."
Shannon, Dartmouth `02, Dir. of Supply Chain Optimization
"I joined C&S three years ago as a Business Analyst from Dartmouth. It has been quite an eventful and exciting three years, to say the least. C&S represents both a unique setting and opportunity to embark on your professional career."
Eric, Dartmouth `04, Director of Demand Planning
At C&S, associates enjoy professional growth and personal development. We are looking for people with energy and creativity to help make our company best-in-class.
C&S offers challenges and rewards to individuals looking for more than just a job.
Recent graduates from diverse backgrounds typically begin their C&S career in one of our larger departments.
-
The Procurement department is responsible for buying and managing inventory in our numerous warehouses to supply our many customers. Procurement teams must strike a balance between having enough inventory to maintain excellent service levels for our customers and having a small enough inventory to avoid excessive carrying costs and expenses associated with too much inventory.
-
The Merchandising department is focused on generating gross profit through vendor relations and creative negotiations tactics. At C&S, Merchandising teams may work with our independent customers as well as our chain store customers to maximize efficiencies in areas such as weekly ad buys and private label purchasing.
-
The Finance department encompasses diverse functional areas including payroll, general and gross profit accounting and supply chain.
-
Warehouse Operations are the heart and soul of C&S. Shipping, Receiving, Order Selection, and Quality Assurance are just a few of the teams that keep our warehouses going 24/7.
We also have opportunities within Human Resources, IT, Transportation, Customer Service, Chain Sales (i.e. account management and corporate initiatives).
